Full Schedules

Dear families,

Back to school supplies are in stores and it’s hard to believe that another summer is coming to an end. We hope that you have found time to rest, relax, and enjoy time together with your family. Our team has been working hard this summer preparing for another year of faith formation, and we’re excited to open up registration for all our programs!  You can find information on each of our programs and how to register below:

K-5th Grade Family Formation:

Last year we journeyed together through the Seek and Root family formation process as a way for us to take a step back and remind ourselves who Jesus is and how much we need His love. This year, we are inviting you to join us for “Mercy,” and to explore the Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy as a family. There will be interactive family meetings for you to complete at home on each Work of Mercy, and sessions at church where families will have age specific content (parents together, children in classrooms), and sessions for the whole family to experience together. This is a beautiful opportunity for us to reflect on how Christ is calling us to live out our faith as families.

We know from studies that as much as it may not always feel like it, children’s biggest role model is their parents and faith practices are correlated to the practices of their parents. Therefore, we really want one or both parents/guardians to be present for each K-5 session. Every night will have at least some kind of a family experience, and some nights families will be together for the entire evening. To help make this more possible, we will continue to offer a family meal from 5:30pm-6:15pm. Sessions will run from 6:15pm-7:30pm. Our first session will be Wednesday, October 8th at Christ Church Newman Center.

6th-9th Grade SEND

Middle School and 9th Grade Faith Formation will take place on alternate nights from K-5th grade, and will continue to be a small group based faith formation program. Students will be paired with young adults and adult leaders to walk with them as faith mentors as they experience talks, testimonies, prayer, and activities to help them see how God is working in and through their lives. Our first session will be Wednesday, October 1st from 7:00pm-8:30pm at Christ Church Newman Center.

Sacramental Preparation

Reconciliation & Eucharist Preparation (First Sacraments) - 2nd Grade or Above

If your child is in 2nd grade or above, they can begin the preparation for the Sacraments of Reconciliation & Eucharist. Whether your child is enrolled in our K-5th Grade Faith Formation, Catholic School, or another faith formation option, First Sacrament Preparation is an additional preparation process to help you walk with your child towards receiving the source and summit of our faith, Eucharist. The program consists of home lessons, 2 activity days and 2 learning centers. There will be an orientation meeting for first sacraments on Wednesday, October 1st at Christ Church Newman Center starting from 6pm-7pm.

Confirmation Preparation - 10th Grade or Above

Students entering 10th grade or above may begin immediate preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation. This process prepares high school students for ways to live out their faith as fully initiated members of the Church. Students will gather for preparation sessions with their small group, led by adult witnesses to the faith, as well as complete service experiences and meet with a faith mentor/sponsor that will walk with them through the year (and beyond) as they approach Confirmation. There will be a Confirmation orientation meeting for a parent and student on Wednesday, October 1st at Christ Church Newman Center starting at 7pm. The first session will be Wednesday, October 15th from 7:00pm-8:30pm. The Fall Retreat date is Sunday, October 26th and includes Sunday Mass.
